PostgreSQL Database and Linux System Administrator since 2010.
Worked on a large number of servers in the Belgian health-care area, deploying software upgrades, handling database backups and keeping systems up-and-running.
Worked for Dalibo between 2017 and 2020: training, support, customer consultancy and as much contribution to the PostgreSQL community as possible.
Then, mainly focused on contributing to pgBackRest as Database Backup Architect at EDB for the following 3 years.
Worked as PostgreSQL Expert at Data Egret between 2023 and 2026, providing database support, maintenance and architectural consulting across a variety of PostgreSQL environments, with a strong focus on backup, recovery and high availability. Alongside client work, dedicated significant time to the PostgreSQL community and open-source contributions. Data Egret actively supported this community involvement, which helped me grow as a contributor and become recognised as a significant PostgreSQL contributor.
In 2026, co-founded CoS2in Partners, a Belgian consulting company providing specialised PostgreSQL expertise and creative design services. On the technology side, we provide occasional, on-demand technical advisory services, with particular expertise in backup tools, disaster recovery procedures and high availability solutions, and a strong focus on pgBackRest and Patroni.
Now Senior Software Engineer at Percona, working on PostgreSQL and its ecosystem with a primary focus on pgBackRest development and upstream open-source contributions.
Also serving as Vice-Treasurer of PostgreSQL Europe.
